All-Day Adventure at Domitai Park | Punta Cana Day 4 Highlights

Written by: 7aumsuvai

Today is Day 4 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We’re heading out for an excursion to Domitai Park for an all-day adventure, and we’re excited to explore Punta Cana beyond the resort. We’re going to experience nine adventures in one day, including zip-lining, buggy rides, horseback riding, a Taino show, cave visits, tasting organic Dominican products, enjoying a typical Dominican lunch, and, to top it all off, a carnival party. We started around 8:55 AM from the resort, and the park is just 10 minutes away. "Coming 2" is the company taking us on this adventure in a comfortable air-conditioned bus. We booked through the airline counter (Air Canada) in the resort's lobby. Everything here in Punta Cana is priced and charged in US dollars. Better to bring US dollars for trips and tips. This trip costed 320 $ USD for 3 people. it is very safe and secure. If you don't want an all-day adventure, you may opt for a half-day one.

We got off the bus at the Welcome Center, where they provided the day's plan. You need to sign a waiver for the slightly risky rides. Since most people here speak Spanish, finding English speakers can be challenging. But don’t worry—English-speaking guests are grouped together and given an English-speaking guide. Each group is also assigned a name; our group was called "Lion," and others were named "Tiger" and "Zebra."
Our first adventure is the buggy ride. Each family is given a buggy and must follow the guide’s instructions. We followed the buggies in front of us for speed and pace. The ride lasted about 45 minutes. Be sure to wear something to cover your nose and mouth, as it gets quite sandy. Also, expect to get dirt on your clothes. It was a fun and thrilling experience!
Detailed instructions on what to bring to the adventure park will be provided when you book. For rides like buggy and zip-lining, you can’t carry personal items with you. No need to worry—free lockers are available at the entrance.
Zip-lining: You can’t carry anything in your hands, including phones or cameras, as you need both hands to hold the rope. We zipped from high to low five times, and it was truly thrilling. After zip-lining, you’ll be guided to refreshments such as water, carbonated drinks, or juices. You’ll feel refreshed as they provide plenty of water, juices, and sodas throughout the park.
Horseback riding: We had to guide our own horses and follow the guide in front. It was a real adventure—I couldn’t even think about taking videos with horse!
Tasting organic Dominican products such as coffee, chocolate, tea, hot chocolate, and the Dominican drink Mama Juana. We also explored local produce, fruits, and vegetables. It felt like a true immersion into their culture.
Typical Dominican lunch: We loved it—it included rice, lentil curry, fried fish, chicken curry, spaghetti, salad, and bread slices. For dessert, they served three sweets that tasted just like Indian sweets. Finally, we enjoyed some Dominican coffee, which was exceptional. Taino show: Music, dance and cultural ceremony.
Yara cave and iguanabonia cave: You can swim inside the cave for 40mins. You will be provided drinks like alcohol , juice and sodas here. People here in Punta Cana are so lively. Music is played everywhere, and they will even teach you how to dance.
Our final adventure was the carnival party. There was loud music, and they handed out balloons. Dressed-up and masked performers entertained us, and the party was in full swing. The event was so well organized that we were entertained the entire time and never got bored. We thoroughly enjoyed this all-day adventure trip.
we are done with our adventures, now we are heading to the lobby to get our bus to the resort. While waiting for the bus, we can check the pictures taken by the park official photographer during the adventure time and if you like it you can purchase from them. our bus arrived, we hopped on and said good bye to the domitai park.
