Day 1:
We’re at Toronto Pearson Airport, heading to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We had coffee from Tim Hortons and an egg sandwich from Subway since Tim Hortons was out of eggs. On the flight, we were served cookies and drinks. Upon landing in Punta Cana, we were excited to start our 7-night all-inclusive stay. The weather was hot and humid. At the Bahia Principe Resort, we completed online check-in and took the train to our third-floor villa. The room has a king bed, a twin sofa bed, an attached washroom, a safe, a mini bar, and a TV. After missing lunch, we ate at the beachside restaurant in the rain and then explored the pool and beach area. We had dinner at the resort buffet and enjoyed the evening show, ‘The Best of the Year Dance Show.
Day 2:
We started our day with breakfast and coffee from the lobby café. We explored the resort, enjoyed drinks at the beach pool, and had lunch at the buffet, loving the Dominican rice and lentil curry. We rested in our room and had dinner at a Japanese à la carte restaurant, which was excellent. The evening magic show was fantastic.
Day 3:
We woke up early to catch the sunrise, which was clouded but still enjoyable. We spent the morning on the beach, took family pictures, and relaxed. We opted not to swim at the beach due to concerns about seaweed but planned to swim in the pool later. We enjoyed morning tea made with fresh ingredients from the mini café.
