Ingredients:
- 1 cup - Oats (used organic sprouted oats)
- 1/4 cup - Cashew nuts
- 1/4 cup - Almonds
- 1/4 cup - Makhana (lotus seeds)
- 1/4 cup - Roasted bengal gram / pottukadalai
- 2 tsp - Ragi flour (used roasted ragi from store)
- 2 tsp - Cacao husk / cacao powder
- 1 no - Cardamom
- Pinch of saffron
- Sweetener as needed (jaggery or sugar or palm jaggery)
Preparation Method:
- Roast oats until well roasted.
- Add cashews to the roasting almonds and continue until well roasted.
- Add roasted Bengal gram and continue roasting for a few more minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
- Add cardamom, cacao husk, ragi powder, and saffron one by one. Roast each briefly over low heat and remove from heat.
- Let all roasted items cool completely before grinding.
- First, grind roasted oats to a fine powder and set aside.
- Add roasted seeds and cacao husk mix, pulse together instead of grinding.
- Gradually add powdered oats to the nut mix while grinding to absorb oil release and keep the mix dry.
- Sieve the mix powder with sweetener powder of choice (e.g., jaggery powder, sugar).
- Store in an airtight container. For longer shelf life, refrigerate.
- To prepare the health drink, add a spoonful of mix to hot milk, mix well with a spoon, and serve.
