Aamras or sweetened mango puree, is a popular side dish in Northern part of India where is it served along with poori/roti and also as a dessert.

- 1 medium – Mango(ripped)(I have used Haden variety )
- Pinches of cardamom powder
- Pinch of Nutmeg powder (optional)
- Sugar as needed
- Wash and peel the mangoes, chop them in to big chunks.
- Transfer the chopped mangoes, sugar to taste, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and puree it without adding any water.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, if you wish you may add a tsp of ghee on aamras for extra flavour before serving. Serve with poori or roti or you may eat as it is.
- Mangoes should be ripped. Unripe mangoes does give the sweetness for the dish.
- Adjust the sugar as per your sweetness.
