Vanilla chocolate chip mug cake is an easy dessert that you may prepare in no time. Whenever you are craving for some cake and when you don’t have much time to prepare, then this is the perfect treat for you. Yummy cake with melting chocolate syrup on top. Sometimes it is good to treat yourself to this yummy and delicious cake.

- 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp – All purpose flour
- 1 tbsp – Sugar
- 2 tbsp – Brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp – Baking powder
- 2 tbsp - Chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp - Unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp - Milk
- 1 tsp - Vanilla extract
- 1 no – Egg
Preparation method:
- In a bowl, add the butter and microwave until just melted. Add the milk, vanilla and the beaten egg to the melted butter and whisk gently.
- Take another mixing bowl, sift the all purpose flour, brown sugar, regular sugar, baking powder. Then add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. Finally add chocolate chip and gently mix it well.
- Pour cake batter in a mug, then microwave your cake for approximately 1 1/2 mins (depends on microwave capacity). Insert a tooth pick to check if it is done perfectly. Leave to cool for a minute or two. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and then serve.
Notes:
- Cooking time depends on the capacity of your microwave. Mine took 1 1/2 minutes to cook.
- Do not load your mug with full of batter (just fill half of the mug with batter), because you need room for cake to puff up.
- The batter should be creamy and in flowing consistency.
- You can serve with vanilla ice cream.
