Cantaloupe agua fresca is a refreshing drink, prepared with fresh cantaloupe, lime juice, mint leaves, and water. It is a perfect summer drink, that can be prepared within 10 minutes.

- 2 to 2 1/2 cups – Cantaloupe chopped
- 1/2 cup – Water (or as needed)
- 1 tsp – Lime juice
- Few springs of fresh mint
- Ice cubes as needed
Preparation method:
- In a blender, add chopped cantaloupe and blend until smooth. Pour through a fine strainer to separate the pulp into a pitcher.
- Add the water, fresh lime juice, and mint leaves, mix well. Refrigerate for at least one hour so it’s thoroughly chilled and the flavors are melded. Pour over ice and enjoy.
Notes:
- Since my cantaloupe was very sweet, I did not add any sweetener in this juice. If you wish, you may add sugar or honey for sweetness.
- An authentic aqua fresca is made by mashing the fruit with a fork or masher before adding the water and sweetener instead of using a blender.
